After DOAG and BGOUG it was back to Birmingham. I wasn't planning to go ... didn't even have a spot on the program to speak ... but given everything that was happening, missed flights, etc.,  and that most of my friends would be there, it was the best option so I took it. My time was well rewarded. Due to all of the European weather issues there were some speaker cancellations and I was given two spots to speak on Day 2. The first a hour hour session in Hall 1 ... the second a 45 minute session in Hall 9. I used the first for "Edition-Based Redefinition Live in SQL*Plus" and the second for a slightly abbreviated version of "Developing and Deploying Extremely Large Databases." Larry "Dr. Paranoia" Carpenter attended the second and we have now coined some new database size definitions which I will put into my blog.
